[SOUTH KOREA] MIGABON 味加本 (미가본) - KOREAN PORRIDGE BREAKFAST AT MYEONG DONG

Rice Porridge Also known as juk in Korea is an essential part of the Korean diet and is often eaten as a breakfast dish. Migabon 味加本 (미가본) - well-known for their delicious well-being porridge and is located at the Myeong Dong District of South Korea. Myeong Dong is a place where there's a lot of shopping, street food, and restaurants. We shall talk in detail next time.

I love how they're opened at 8am. Just nice for people to grab a yummy and comforting breakfast. Be prepared to queue though as they're quite famous!

There is a variety of porridges such as vegetable porridge, mushroom & beef porridge(recommended), pine mushroom & abalone porridge(recommended), ginseng & chicken porridge(recommended), etc.

I ordered the mushroom & beef porridge. Both are powerhouse nutritious food.  The porridge may look plain and simple but it is actually quite nice. The porridge with its smooth and not mushy texture is actually not bad. You could taste the beef and mushroom broth but the flavours are not strong. My friend actually remarked that the standard has dropped but as a first-timer, I think this is not too bad la. This comes with banchan(side dishes) such as bean sprouts, radish, spicy octopus and burdock root.
