REVIEW: LAGOON IN A BOWL

They actually invited me down for a tasting after seeing my blue pea rice creation but i was so busy with work and wanted to rest on weekends! I was free either after exams or on that day where i took leave to prep for exams so i could make a trip down.

They're only open from 11am - 3pm to cater to the lunch crowd and sometimes during dinner time. I managed to go there at around 12pm and Amoy Street Food Centre was packed to the brim okay. I also saw someone ordered 30+ packets of their famous mentaiko salmon rice bowl.

It’s not Everyday you see a hawker store selling blue butterfly pea rice.
For $10, you get a thick slab of salmon that was topped with torched mentaiko. There’s also runny sous vide egg, corn, cherry tomatoes and cucumber. The rice doesn’t need any sauce as there’s sesame dressing on the cucumber, generous mentaiko dressing ok salmon and you break the runny yolk, mix these together and you made a Creamy mess. Wouldn’t mind paying again for this healthy bowl of lagoon.
