REVIEW: Good Japanese Ramen in Singapore: Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen at Square 2 Novena Singapore

Was researching on ramen near my area which is central area. Randomly saw this ramen place in novena which is .. um near my place and there is something unique about their ramen too! Not only do they serve normal ramens in bowls, they have special ones in CLAYPOT. Yes, CLAYPOT.

Address: #02-68/69, Square 2, 10 Sinaran Drive
Opening Hours: 11am – 10pm Daily
It is easy to locate the place. It is just by the escalator at the second floor.

Menu!

The soup!

They serve you the claypot with the noodles and ingredients. The claypot is hot! The waitress will then bring you this cone shape thingy, then pour the soup inside and cover it! You can see the smoke rising and exiting from the cone! I have never seen anything like this before! LOL

After awhile she comes and take the cone away and asks me to stir whats in the claypot. I just stare at the hot claypot, dumbfounded. As you can see there are hot bubbles everywhere and it is boiling! Does it look like a volcano to you?

Their noodles are slightly thicker than the normal thin ones. Think hokkien mee?

The shoyu one really kind of resembles a piping hot claypot of hokkien mee, right? Noodles are good and chewy. The charsiew is kind of average and needs improvement. There are alot of cabbage and bean sprouts in it. I especially love the thick shoyu soup broth! It is not too salty and is so yummy!

The waitress will walk around and when she sees you have finish the ramen she will offer you steamed rice so as not to waste the soup. Awesome, right!! This is my first time so full from eating ramen.
